Read Into the Record
The Archive is a written thing. It has always been a written thing. A record survives because one person wrote it down and another person kept the paper, and most of what has ever happened had neither.
That is not the only way a record survives.
Before there was paper there was a person saying a thing out loud to somebody who agreed to remember it. That method has no provenance and no date stamp, and it is the reason a great deal of this archive exists at all.
On the evening of October 13, a group of queer writers will read aloud. Some of what they read will be history. Some of it will be horror. In this collection those have never been separate categories.
The Archive will be listening.
So may anyone else.
